2023-24

Congratulations to Mansi Gohil and Elizabeth Anthony for passing the CTET examination held in January 2024.

Congratulations to Fr Alex Simon, Ms Nisha Marvi and Ms Avita Koli for winning the third place at the Innovation in Teaching and Learning Practices in Science and Mathematics Education to achieve National Education Policy 2020 Vision & Mission event organised by Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education. The team presented Jadui Pitara - Magic Box for Learning. 



Congratulations to Ms Snigdha Bhuyar for winning the consolation prize for her creation during the Best from waste competition.

Congratulations to Ms Elizabeth Anthony for winning the intercollegiate essay competition organised by St Teresa's Institute of Education. 

2022-23

We are glad to share that ten students passed the Central TET held in January 2023. We congratulate Ms Caryl Trinidade, Ms Bindi Shah, Ms Monalisa Almeida, Ms Serene Almeida, Ms Siddhi Divekar, Ms Flavia Pereira, Ms Noresca Pereira, Ms Diya Vadukkoot, Ms Rovina DMello and Ms Madhuri Vartak for their wonderful achievement. Special training was organised for CTET by Dr Agnes Dcosta

Congratulations to Sr Jerry Anthony for winning the first prize and to Ms Rovina DMello and Ms Blessy George for winning the third prize at an essay competition organised by St Teresa's Institute of Education. 

2021-22

Ms Erusha DCosta of S.Y.B.Ed won the third place in the Hook A Book Competition organised  by Pillai's College of Education and Research,Chembur on the occasion of International Literacy Day. She presented her review on the book 'The Clothing of Books'  by Jhumpa Lahiri. 

Faculty member Dr Agnes DCosta won the First Place in the 'Design your Idea' competition organised  by Board of Studies in Education, University of Mumbai and Pillai's College of Education and Research,Chembur. She presented the innovative practice entitled 'Connect, Collaborate, Create' where she showcased how Padlet,  Parlay Ideas and other online platforms were used to encourage connectivist learning. 






Ms Yogita Singh of F.Y.B.Ed won the First Place for her Powerpoint Presentation in a National level intercollegiate competition organised by G.H.G Khalsa College of Education, Ludhiana. This competition was organised on the occasion of World Environment Day. 
Congratulations to Yogita Singh for winning the first place in the slogan competition organised by SNDT University on the Ocassion of World Environment Day.
We also congratulate Ms Sara Gonsalves for winning the second place in the poster making competition organised by SNDT University on the Ocassion of World Environment Day.


Ms Rovina Dmello won the first place at an inter college Essay Writing Competiton organised by St. Teresa's Institute of Education Santacruz. 

2020-21

National Level Competition on Development of E Resources
On the occasion of Teachers' Day a National Level Online competition on 'Development of E Resources in the New Normal' was organised by University of Mumbai's Thane Sub campus, inner Wheel Club of Bombay Film City, G.E.S College of Education, Sangamner and  Smt Surajba College of Education. We are happy to announce that faculty member Dr. Agnes DCosta won the first place among teacher-educators for her resource on Cyberbullying Awareness  and   student of S.Y.B.Ed Ms. Alisha Andrades won the first place in the student-teacher category for her resource on Save Energy. 

Contest on the occasion of National Science Day
On 26 February 2021, Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education (HBCSE) organised an Inter- Collegiate contest Innovative Teaching Learning Practices for Online Science and Mathematics Education. Ms. Venisa Dias, Ms. Calista DMello and Ms Vilfrena DMello represented the college and presented their ideas in the form of STAR Approach which consisted of a digital Story, resources for self learning on Thinglink, Aesthetics through online hands-on experiences and Review and Revision through online games and reflection through Padlet. The team bagged the third position for their presentation. Congratulations! 


Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) Jan 2021
We are happy to announce that Br. Agnel Dias, Ms. Rochelle DSouza, Ms. Cerofina DSouza, Ms. Vilfrena DMello, Ms. Calista DMello and Ms. Andrea DSouza passed the CTET conducted in January 2021. Congratulations !!!

Best Research Paper Award

Fr Kiran Salve won the Best Action Research (VENTEL category) in the intercollegiate competition organised by Pillai's College of Education, Chembur on 5 April 2021. He presented a paper on Sustainable Practices in Waste Management. 




2019-20

We are proud of our students who participated in Planit-E a festival of  intercollegiate competitions on themes pertaining to Environmental issues organised by St. Teresa's Institute of Education, Santacruz. 

Our street play on 'It's time to stall the urban sprawl' won us the Second place. the stret play was written by faculty member Dr Agnes D'Costa

 Ms Natasha Punnoose brought us good cheer by bagging the first place for her documentary on the island of Panju and baging the third place for her sharing during Ed-Talks.

At Prayaas the Annual festival hosted by St. Xavier's institute of Education, Churchgate our students bagged the First Place in Miming, the Second Runner Up for Singing and Second Runner up for Dance. 

At the annual festival of Bombay Teachers' Training College, Colaba, Ms Natasha Punnoose won the second runner up for Personality Contest. She was supported by Ms Josica Ger and together they won the best team trophy for the Personality Contest. 








We are proud of Ms Simran DMello who passed the Central Teacher Eligibility Test held in 2019.

Ms Ninian Nunes won the Third place at an All India Counter Corona Poster Contest 2020 organised by St Teresa's Institute of Education, Santacruz. She was also declared the  Second Runner Up at the Comic strip competition organised by St. Xavier's Institute of Education, Mumbai.

We  congratulate Ms Pooja Gawde Mirji for winning the following competitions
(1) First place in the E Quester Competition organised by The Lord's Universal College of Education, Pooja explored Google Tour creator to help learners virtually visit the Stupas at Sopara. She used the resource to teach Jr College History and submitted her research findings at the competition. 
(2) First Place in the Story writing competition organised by St Xavier's Institute of Education
(3) Consolation prize in the Essay writing competition organised by S.I.E.S Institute of Comprehensive Education.
(4) First Place in the National Level Intercollegiate Poetry Writing Competition (English Section) organised in May 2020 by H.J College of Education and Research, Mumbai .

We are proud of Josica Ger whose video on Flipped Learning was uploaded on YouTube by Dept of Education University of Madras and IQAC of Annamalai College of Education for Women . This video was presented under their video presentation contest 'My Idea, My Voice'. Congratulations Josica!!!

2018-19

Participation at National Science Day Competition 


On 28 February 2019, our students Ms Alisha Athaide, Ms Jonella Gonsalves and Ms Premal Popat participated in a competition on 'Innovative Teaching Practices in Science.' this was organised by Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education, Mankhurd. The team presented a Lapbook Laboratory wherein topics could be taught through interactive  self learning material. Their efforts bore fruit and the team was awarded first place in the competition. We are proud of their achievements.











Participation at Prayaas Intercollegiate Festival

Our team comprising of Ms Larissa Noronha, Ms Ruksana Carvalho and Ms Rhea George participated in the  intercollegiate competition Prayaas held at St Xaviers Institute of Education, Churchgate. they prepared a utility bag using discarded material and advertised the same bearing the theme 'Harmony' in mind. Their presentation won them the first place. We congratulate the team.
