2020 Lockdown Learning

March 2020 ushered in a world that we never imagined even in our wildest dreams. Whoever thought that we would be confined to our house for two months? Covid-19 surely did rattle our schedules. But resilient as we are we used the time to learn new skills, to interact with peers and ofcourse share what we knew. 

Online Course for students: An online course on digital skills was launched through google Classroom.  Alumni of 2016-18 and 2017-19 batches and students of F.Y and S.Y B.Ed of the academic year 2019-20 benefitted from the  same.
 Webinars for students: PUSHPADEEP conducted a webinar for students and alumni on the topic 'Organising Effective Online Classrooms'. The resource person Mr. Anthony Dias helped the participants to navigate through various e- platforms such as Zoom, Padlet, PearDeck, quiz making apps, EdPuzzle and many more.


Online Courses for inservice teachers
Two on- line courses were successfully conducted the theme of the courses being 'Digital Skills for Teachers.' The courses was launched using Google Platform from May 13 to May 23 and May 20 to May 31. More than 480 in service teachers from schools in Vasai, Mumbai and Pune  participated in the courses . The participants created  digital worksheets, digital story books, digital posters, online tests, interactive tools, interactive videos. They also learned to create blogs and launch their own YouTube channels. Teachers learned how to convert PowerPoint presentations to videos using Screen capture tools. Teachers were very grateful as these courses helped them learn important skills which would be helpful to conduct digital classes with students amid the Covid 19 crisis. Two webinars were conducted by Mr Anthony Dias to demonstrate actual usage of online tools .

 






 Ms Pooja Gawde Mirji won the first place in the Story Writing Competition.
