E Content Development( 5 to 17 Jan 2023)
A Two Credit Value added Course in E Content Development was conducted for the FYBEd students in Jan 2023. The students learned how to create E resources using platforms like Canva, Wordwall, StoryJumper, Kahoot, Padlet. They also learned to make videos from PowerPoint presentations.
Value Added Course Apps in Education The Value added Course in Apps in Education held in March 2023 comprised of demonstrations and hands-on experience in the following apps : Arloopa for virtual reality, Mindup for concept mapping, Jeopardy for organising quizzes, Thinglink to prepare visuals with tags and Flippity to create variety of learning resources using Excel sheet formats. These Apps were used to create resources which the students shared on a specially prepared Google Classroom. Students perused through resources made by their peers and learned from each other. The course was designed and deployed by Dr Agnes Dcosta. Students completing all activities received E certificates.

A two credit Value Added Course on Mental Health of Secondary School
Students was completed by students of F.Y.B.Ed from 27 June to 20 august 2023.
The course was designed by Dr Agnes Dcosta and coordinated by Ms Sanika
Asolkar. Students learned various issues faced by secondary school students and
also saw how teachers can identify issues and help to cope with the same. The
resources were mainly taken from Manodarpan a publication by Ministry of
Education, India. The course was held in Blended Mode using canvas.instructure
platform. The four quadrant approach was followed and students had online
discussions &quizzes. Dr Mabel Pimenta conducted a face to face workshop on
Teacher’s Role as a counsellor. Students conducted guidance sessions on Digital
Detox and Stress Management in their internship schools.
2021-22
1) A Two Credit Certificate Course 'E Content Development' was held in April 2022. 50 students of FYBEd participated in the course. Dr Agnes DCosta was the resource person.
2)A Certificate Course on Apps in Education was conducted for FYBEd students in July 2022 under the guidance of Dr Agnes DCosta. Students prepared learning resources using Flippity, Mindmapping, H5P, Thinglink and Google Apps.
3)A Value added Certificate Course in Barefoot Counselling was organised for FYBEd. Resource Persons Dr Mabel Pimenta and Ms Angelina Nunes guided the students regarding the basics of Counselling, the strategies used to identify problems and address the same.
2020-21
(1) Course on Apps in Education
Students of F.Y.B.Ed(2020-22 batch) participated in a Certificate Course on Apps in Education. The course content covered practical experiences in tech platforms such as Flippity and Wordwall for fun based evaluation exercises , jamboard and Answergarden for online discussions,Google Tools for collaborative learning, use of virtual reality Apps like Arloopa, quizzes thrugh Kahoot and interactive learning through H5P. The apps and platforms were effectively used by stuents during their Internship.
(2) Course in E Content Development: 48 students of S.Y.B.Ed successfully completed a two credit online course on E Content Development. The Course Content included Creation of Online Quizzes, Online books, infographics, thinglinks, interactive videos, interactive learning resources, digital worksheets and use of screen capture tools. Special certificates were awarded to those who created the best resources in the above mentioned areas. The course helped students to develop skills required for online teaching. The course was designed and developed by Dr. Agnes D'Costa and deployed using Google Classroom. Principal Dr Mabel Pimenta and Faculty members Dr Sheetal Chaudhari, Ms Angelina Nunes, Dr Helen Jadhav, Dr Agnes DCosta and Ms Heather Gabriel mentored the students during the course.
The course was conducted for F.Y.B.Ed students from 26 Feb to 10 April 2021.
(3) Course on Apps in Education: Students of S.Y.B.Ed participated in an online course on Apps in Education. this month long two credit course helped to learn about Google Quiz, Google slides and Google documents for collaborative learning. Students learned about Answergarden and Padlet for discussions and also learned how to make blogs. This course, designed and developed by Dr.Agnes DCosta, was deployed using canvas.instructure platform.
4) Course on English Grammar Pro – Beginner to Advanced
A course on English Grammar was conducted for students of F.Y.B.Ed from 29 January to 12 Feb 2021. the course was designed and conducted by Dr Cerena D'Cunha, Asst. Professor St. Teresa's Institute of Education. The course aimed at ensuring
complete understanding of the concepts of Grammar, use of correct spoken and
written English and ability to self-correct when using English language.
2019-20
Certificate Course in Counselling Skills
Students of S.Y B.Ed Class participated in a Certificate Course in Counselling Skills. This 30 hour long course was led by Ms Sonal Naik, Certified Counsellor. A special session was conducted by Mr Prakash Almeida, Director of English Fountain. Students learned about Theories of Counselling, Counselling skills, learning difficulties and ways to handle such learners, class room behvoural management strategies, individual and group counselling and ethics for counsellors. A blended learning approach was used and the Google Classroom specially launched for this course served as a platform to disemminate various resources and also share outputs.
Value added course on Digital Skills for teachers
A certificate course on Digital Skills for teachers was organised by Pushpadeep from April 28 to May 10 2020. This 30 hour course covered skills like creating online tests, making infographics, concept maps, digital story books and other digital resources. Students of S. Y. B. Ed and alumni benefited from the same. A webinar by Anthony Dias helped to explore different digital platforms.
2018-19
A certificate course in Enabling
for Inclusion was conducted
in collaboration with Dhristi Foundation. Dr Mabel Pimenta and Dr Smita Desai formulated the objectives and designed the course content. 25 students of SYBEd completed the course which was conducted in Blended Mode. The 30 hour long course condcuted from Feb to April 2019 comprised of modules in
