Yoga Workshop (23 July 2022)
On 27 Aug 2022, Special Educator Ms Suchitra Almeida, addressed the students on ‘Understanding Differently Abled Learners’. She shared how to children with dyslexia, dyscalculia and dysgraphia face many hurdles while learning. The way their brain processes inputs may be different and hence they find it difficult to cope with classroom experiences. She emphasized that these learners have their own set of assets and teachers need to cater to the same so that they also can reach to the best of their potential.

World Intellectual Property Day is observed on 26 April. The theme for 2023 was ‘Women and IP: Accelerating innovation and creativity’. Fr Alex K discussed the concept and significance of Intellectual Property and elucidated the different from of IP i.e trademarks ,patents, copyrights and industrial designs. IP rights provide the means by which researchers, inventors, businesses, designers, artists and others can legally protect their innovative and creative outputs and secure an economic return from them. Much light was shed upon the legal aspects of IP rights. The theme for the year was also expounded . Women inventors, creators and entrepreneurs around the world and their ground-breaking work were showcased.
On 8 July 2023, students visited National English High School, Virar to observe the innovative use of school premises. The attractive learning resources that can be seen on every wall and each nook and corner of the school showed how each inch of place can become a learning area. Students got insights into how activity based resources can augment learning. Ms Gaurangini and Sir Shreyas guided the school tour.
Ms Gaurangini Kulkarni Shetty conducted a workshop on Charged Classrooms
for students of F.Y.B.Ed on 8 July 2023. The students participated in the various
activities arranged by the resource person and learned how activities can be
infused into the teaching learning process to ensure that students are involved
in the learning process. The workshop was directed towards identifying and
addressing needs of learners with varied
abilities.
